The Oberoi Bali is designed along the lines of a Balinese village and emphasis has been placed on incorporating local architectural styles - thatched buildings, numerous water features and cool, calming colour schemes.
The lanai rooms are clustered around central rock ponds. Each has their own terrace and elegant marble bathroom. All are air-conditioned and well appointed with teak furnishings and traditional works of art. My own recommendation is to reserve one of the small number of private villas with their own walled gardens - some also have swimming pools.
You can dine on your own terrace, in the elegant Kura Kura restaurant or perhaps choose the candle-lit setting of the open-air amphitheatre. Lunch is served at the beachfront café.
The recently renovated swimming pool overlooks the ocean. Nearby, the gym and sauna tempt the sports minded while the health spa indulges those looking for some serious pampering.
This Oberoi Bali combines perfectly with its sister property on the nearby island of Lombok as an idyllic two-centre holiday.
