The Hacienda de San Rafael is a small Andalucian Residencia set in the countryside midway between Seville and Jerez.
It is perfectly located for easy access to many places of interest including the nearby Sierras and the famous white villages of Arcos and Grazalema.
Owned and managed by the Reid family, the Hacienda de San Rafael has the relaxed atmosphere of a private country home. The Reid’s have a highly personal attitude to service which makes you feel part of the family and completely at ease.
The 11 bedrooms are very well furnished and set around a courtyard brimming with flowers. Scarlet geraniums spill in profusion from large tubs while cerise bourgainvillaea trails vividly across whitewashed walls. There are 3 Casitas positioned on the East side with a shared private pool.
A beautiful sitting room and air conditioned library in the main building all add to the elegant home from home atmosphere. Great emphasis is placed on simple food, beautifully cooked and presented, using the freshest ingredients sourced mostly within Andalucia.
The Sunset Bar before dinner is where you will be offered the renowned Hacienda G&T or mojito.
The three pools are surrounded by well tended lawns with sun loungers under generous thatched shades on expansive sun terraces.
Although the Hacienda de San Rafael does not have a spa, they can arrange for massages and yoga classes. Whatever you get up to we think that the relaxed atmosphere, great food and tranquility make a stay here a truly therapeutic experience.
For the active the Hacienda can arrange horse riding, wine and sherry tastings, golf, cookery classes, bird watching and hiking.
