Villa San Michele

High up in the hills of Fiesole above Florence is the magnificent Villa San Michele, once a 15th century monastery. This is a perfect retreat in which to relax and unwind.

Villa San Michele is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and is owned by the Orient-Express Hotels, Trains and Cruises.

There are 21 superior and deluxe rooms and two of the best suites located in the main building and the 25 junior suites and suites are located in the Italian garden. These are beautifully appointed with outdoor terraces and large, luxurious marble bathrooms.

Dining takes place in the atmospheric indoor Cenacolo restaurant or in the open-sided Loggia with unsurpassed, breathtaking views over Florence and the Arno valley. Whichever you choose you will find exceptional, attentive yet unobtrusive service.

When you feel energetic the historic and cultural delights of Florence are not far away together with the shopping - especially the shoes! A courtesy shuttle service connects the hotel with Florence in about 15 minutes. The Villa San Michele also has its own cookery school with a variety of 3 - 5 day programmes available.
