The Palazzo Arzaga is a magnificent 15th century mansion that stands on a 356 acre hilltop estate near Lake Garda.

An elegant Spa hotel with a rich and interesting history, Palazzo Arzaga has the comfortable, stylish air of a grand country home with beautiful frescoes adorning hallways and even some of the 84 bedrooms.

The emphasis here is on complete relaxation - whether through sport, spa or just the sheer indulgence of lazy days, wonderful food and leisurely exploration of the surrounding countryside. Two golf courses wind their way through the grounds - an 18 hole designed by Jack Nicklaus II and a 9 hole course designed by Gary Player.

In the cozy Spa, the spa manager will tailor make a programme for you from the extensive range of spa treatments, facials, and massages. If you can tear yourself away from the Palazzo Arzaga, the nearby town of Desenzano is worth visiting especially on Sundays for shopping. Here and in Verona (40 minutes away) the leather shops are superb - shoe-aholics take note.

Verona's stunning open air amphitheatre hosts the annual opera festival in July and August, and we can arrange tickets and transfers from Palazzo Arzaga.
