Bagni di Pisa Natural Spa Resort

Just 6 kilometres from the centre of Pisa the Bagni di Pisa is a converted eighteenth century mansion once owned by the Grand Duke of Tuscany, that has been restored to its former glory. Dating back to the 18th Century, the building is set in a beautiful park of olive trees and combines classical architecture with modern facilities. Owned and managed by the STB group, who also own the Grotta Giusti and the Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort.

All rooms and suites are elegantly furnished, and have sumptuous bathrooms with separate shower and bath tub. Eighteenth century frescoes adorn the walls and marble and Tuscan terracotta help create a very Tuscan atmosphere.

The Bagni di Pisa's restaurant has panoramic views over the Tower of Pisa and serves local delicacies and also a low calorie option. The hotel is also just 9 kilometres from the walled city of Lucca and 20 minutes from two excellent golf courses.

The Bagni di Pisa Spa experience comprises intimate treatments in a truly refined environment. Firstclass spa and therapeutic treatments, Oriental disciplines and personalised programmes are available, and guests can relax in the herb tea room. There is also an open-air thermal pool and a hammam, ideal for a relaxing and therapeutic thermal steam bath. Signature treatments include the exclusive Grand Duke's Hammam, and Tuina Traditional Chinese Massage, which exerts pressure on the body's energy lines to re-balance organ functionality. Watsu, a unique massage combining the benefits of shiatsu techniques with those of thermal water, is recommended. The Bio-Energetic Check-Up is ideal for those seeking an evaluation of their health according to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. General medical evaluations are also available at the spa.
