The rooms are all naturally cooled by the gentle seabreezes (yet air conditioned if needed) and also come with ceiling fans, balcony or terrace, CD player, fridge and coffee-maker. The best rooms, in our opinion, are the beachfront junior suites directly on the very edge of a beautiful crescent shaped bay. In addition there are 3 luxurious Villa Estates in amazing locations and offer spectacular views of the Caribbean waters, total privacy and a customized experience delivered by its own private Staff.
Peter Island is a big island where it is possible to spend a day on a private beach all by yourselves, enjoying a delicious picnic in an idyllic setting. You need only to return to 'civilisation' when you are ready - you simply call back to the hotel and they will come and collect you.
As well as offering complete solitude Peter Island is further enhanced by a fantastic 10,000 square foot spa situated only 150 feet from the ocean on the secluded Big Reef Bay. There is a comprehensive list of superb treatments carried out by delightful staff in the 12 treatment rooms including 4 couples treatment suites (2 indoor and 2 outdoor) as well as a stylish infinity disk pool and beauty salon.
In addition Peter Island offers complimentary tennis on its 4 courts, mountain bikes and non-motorised watersports. The waters off Peter Island, and throughout the British Virgin Islands, offer great diving opportunities and there is a PADI certified dive centre on site. Deep sea fishing is another big attraction, as are private boat charters to the other nearby islands that can be coordinated right from their deep-water marina.
The two restaurants offer a choice of dining - Tradewinds is the main restaurant with its superb views across the Sir Frances Drake Channel and here you can enjoy both breakfast and dinner. Deadmans Beach Bar and Grill is more casual and lively and a great fun place to sample true Caribbean hospitality which abounds on Peter Island.
Renovations plans scheduled for late Summer 2009.
